Suction Arm Sterilization Procedures
Step1
Position suction hood facing up, and spray Lysol into the hood for 10 seconds with the vacuum on setting 1-2.
Step2
3% Hydrogen Peroxide Disinfecting Sprays
If using liquid (e.g., 3% hydrogen peroxide ), spray five times (5) into the hood and leave the setting on 1-2.
Note: other low ethyl alcohol disinfectants can be used as well.
Step3
Leave the vacuum running for 3 minutes.
Cavi-wipes disinfecting wipes on the surface areas
Step1
Wipe with CaviWipes disinfectant and dry with a soft cloth to clean the handle.
Step2
Wipe with CaviWipes disinfectant and dry with a soft cloth to clean the suction arm.
Suction Mouth Piece Hood Sterilization Parameters Procedures
a.The sterilization temperature should be controlled at no more than 250°F (121°C) indicated on the suction mouthpiece hood. (Note: chemical indicators are designed to verify that conditions in the sterilizer chamber were adequate to achieve sterilization)
b.The sterilization pressure should be controlled at:15.0 psi (104kPa)
c.The sterilization time should be controlled at[min]: 20
d.The drying time should be controlled at [min]:30
e.Total program duration[min] that full loaded including drying time:75-79
f.The sterilization temperature should be controlled at no more than 275°F (135°C) indicated on the suction mouthpiece hood. (Note: chemical indicators are designed to verify that conditions in the sterilizer chamber were adequate to achieve sterilization)
g.The sterilization pressure should be controlled at 15.0 psi (104kPa)
h.The sterilization time should be controlled at[min]: 4
i.The drying time should be controlled at [min]:30
j.Total program duration[min] that full loaded including drying time:47-53
Suction Mouth Piece Hood Sterilization
Step1 Position suction hood facing up and loosen up the three screws in the suction mouthpiece hood.
Step2 Put the suction mouthpiece hood with an indicator.
Step3 Put the suction mouthpiece hood with an indicator into an autoclaving sterilizer.
Step4 Autoclaving
Step5 Take out the suction mouthpiece hood from the autoclaving sterilizer.
Step6 Check the indicator color. The indicator reaches or exceeds the standard color that meets sterilization conditions.
Step7 Replace a suction mouthpiece hood after finishing the disinfectant.
Step8 After sterilization, the suction mouthpiece hood is ready to be used.
Cautions
1.Loosen up the three screws in the suction mouthpiece hood. Do not pull the suction mouthpiece hood directly by hand.
2.Put the suction mouthpiece hood with an indicator into an autoclave sterilizer.
121 °C /250 °F for Class-N autoclave or 135°C/275°F for Class-B autoclave pressure steam sterilization chemical indicator card IG 1342 type.
3.The indicator reaches or exceeds the standard color that meets sterilization conditions.
